Captain always tells me that because we’re retired, we DO NOT need to be on the water on a WEEKEND! He’s right. But when you’re on a big giant trip with places to go, sometimes the weather wins the argument. But man! We don’t like the ICW (Intracoastal WaterWay) on the weekends! We’ve been renting a spot from our friend Wayne for six years, and it’s very close to our house. But his lot is for sale, and we don’t know if it will still be available to us when we get back in November, so we took everything with us. We love having the boat this close to our home… but we won’t miss all of the tree junk that falls ALL. THE. TIME.! 😏. We tootled away from our spot at about 7:45. It was a bit chilly, so we had long pants, sleeves, and SOCKS on today. 🥶 Good-bye boat dock!
